My name is Maggie
Owner | Speech Language Pathologist
Maggie is an ASHA-certified Speech- Language Pathologist, licensed in the state of Maryland. She graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelors in Communication Disorders and Science and her Masters in Speech Language Pathology. Maggie has been practicing for eight years with a background in both, the pediatric and geriatric populations. She has experience in various settings such as early interventions, school, outpatient, and skilled nursing facilities. Maggie opened her private practice in Lavale, MD in 2020 to help those in need of speech services. She is native of Allegany County; and lives in Frostburg with my husband and two children. Maggies likes spending time outdoors and being with my family.

Speech Language Pathologist
Lauren is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in the state of Maryland. She graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor's in Communication Disorders and later earned her Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from West Virginia University. With three years of experience primarily working with the pediatric population, Lauren's background includes early intervention, schools, outpatient clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. She is particularly passionate about early communication and augmentative alternative communication.
Originally from Allegany County, Lauren now resides in Ridgeley, West Virginia, with her husband and son. Outside of work, she enjoys taking her son to local libraries, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. Lauren is eagerly looking forward to working with new patients at Appalachian Speech & Language!

Speech Language Pathologist
Lacey is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in the state of Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from West Virginia University. With five years of clinical experience, Lacey has dedicated the majority of her career to working in public school settings, where she has honed her skills in supporting diverse student needs.
In addition to her experience in schools, Lacey has worked in various clinical environments, including private practice, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. As a proud native of Allegany County, she is deeply committed to serving both adults and children within her community.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Lacey enjoys traveling and staying active with her family. She is passionate about helping individuals achieve their communication goals and fostering a positive impact in their lives.

Speech Language Pathologist
Emily is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong dedication to helping children develop healthy eating habits. With a decade of experience in early intervention, preschools, and school settings, she specializes in the SOS Approach to Feeding, enabling her to create enjoyable and stress-free mealtime experiences for both children and their parents.

Originally from New York, Emily now resides in Frostburg with her husband and two energetic sons. Her tailored feeding therapy services are designed to meet the unique needs of each child and family, addressing challenges such as trying new foods, accepting different textures, and managing mealtime tantrums.

Emily is committed to fostering positive eating behaviors, educating families about normal feeding development, and providing practical strategies for success. She collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists to ensure comprehensive support for every child.

Emily is passionate about guiding families on their journey toward healthier eating habits and transforming mealtime challenges into joyful experiences.

My name is McKennah
Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow
McKennah is currently completing her Clinical Fellowship in Speech-Language Pathology, and is dedicated to helping children achieve meaningful communication outcomes. She earned both her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from West Virginia University.

Prior to entering private practice, McKennah spent three years serving students in the public school system. During this time, she gained valuable experience supporting children with a variety of communication needs, including language delays, articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and AAC use. Her school-based experience has shaped her holistic and collaborative approach to therapy, focusing on functional communication and family involvement. McKennah is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships and creating engaging, individualized therapy sessions that empower her clients to thrive in their everyday lives. She believes in celebrating progress, no matter how small, and fostering confidence through communication.

Outside of work, McKennah enjoys attending church, working out, and playing pickleball with friends and family. She is excited to begin her career in private practice and is honored to support the clients and families in her community.

Speech Language Pathologist
Becca is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in the state of Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from West Virginia University and her Master degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California University of Pennsylvania.
Becca has been a practicing SLP for thirteen years, with experience in various clinical settings such as early intervention, public schools, outpatient clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. She is passionate about working with individuals with complex communication needs who require Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
Becca enjoys spending time with her family, swimming with her son, traveling to the beach, and planting flowers. She is an animal lover and adores her dog, Finn. She values the importance of building positive relationships with her clients and their families to achieve successful communication outcomes. Becca is excited to be working with new clients at Appalachian Speech & Language!
